Meet your physician

I'm Dr Saba Masoud

Lifestyle Medicine Physician (Diplomate International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, USA)

I'm Dr Saba Masoud, a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician. I believe that understanding why we feel the way we do is the first step toward lasting change. My approach goes beyond symptoms to look at everything that shapes your health: your daily habits, your body, your emotional wellbeing, your relationships, and the life you lead.

Together, we'll explore what your body and mind truly need and build a plan that fits your life. Through personalized guidance, coaching, counselling, mindfulness, and meditation, I help you gain the knowledge, confidence, and tools to take charge of your wellbeing. With my programs and a supportive community beside you, you can turn your vision for better health into reality.

Your healing journey begins with understanding yourself—and grows with every step you take towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.

More about us

Our approach

For people who want to understand their health, not just manage it.

Some people come to me with a diagnosis: prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, weight concerns, cardiovascular risk, or another chronic condition. Others come with no diagnosis at all, only a feeling that they aren't living at their full potential. They're tired, stressed, anxious, low in mood, or struggling with hormonal changes, and their tests don't explain why.

Whichever describes you, the starting point is the same. We look at your whole life, form a clear vision for your health, and use lifestyle medicine, with a personalized Lifestyle Prescription, to move you toward it. It works alongside your existing care, and it teaches you to understand your body, so the changes last.

Cupping Therapy (Hijama)

Hijama is an ancient healing tradition, and I practise it with the care and judgement of holistic health. I'm Dr Saba Masoud, a physician trained in clinically applied Hijama at the Institute of Clinically Applied Holistic Therapies (ICAHT) in the UK.

Your session begins with a review of your health, so that your cupping is planned around your own needs and sits alongside your wider treatment, not apart from it. Guided by my medical knowledge, I decide what needs attention and how best to approach it, and I may suggest complementary lifestyle and wellness practices to support your results.

Questions, answered

What does a lifestyle medicine physician do?

A lifestyle medicine physician is a medical doctor trained to prevent, treat and, in many cases, reverse chronic disease by addressing its root causes. Rather than managing symptoms alone, we look at how nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, emotional health, social connection and substance use shape your health. We then build an evidence-based plan around you, and coach you through putting it into practice.

Who are these consultations for? Is there an age limit?

Lifestyle medicine is relevant at every stage of life. Whether you want to prevent illness, manage a condition, or simply feel and function better, our consultations are suited to people of all ages.

Which conditions can lifestyle medicine help with?

Lifestyle medicine supports the prevention, management and, in many cases, reversal of chronic conditions. These include type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalances and weight-related concerns. It can also support people living with cancer, working alongside their oncology team. Beyond disease, it helps anyone who wants to optimise their health and wellbeing. Every plan works alongside your existing medical care.

I already see a nutritionist. Do I still need a lifestyle medicine physician?

Nutrition advice is valuable, but chronic disease rarely begins with food alone. A lifestyle medicine physician looks beneath the symptoms to the biology driving them: chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, insulin resistance, gut dysbiosis, hormonal signalling and the epigenetic influences that switch genes on and off. Your nutrition prescription is then designed to act on those mechanisms: which foods, in which combinations and at what times, chosen for your own physiology, your test results and your health goals. This is a deeper medical consultation, and its aim is to treat the cause of your condition rather than only manage its signs.

I already work with a trainer. Do I still need a movement prescription from a physician?

A trainer builds fitness. A movement prescription from a lifestyle medicine physician is a form of medicine. We choose the type, intensity, duration and progression of activity to act on your condition: improving insulin sensitivity, lowering inflammation, supporting heart and metabolic health, restoring hormonal balance and building resilience. The plan follows evidence-based guidelines for preventing, managing and, where possible, reversing disease, and it is adapted to your diagnosis, your current health and your body, so that movement works as a treatment and not only as exercise.

I already see a psychologist. Do I still need a lifestyle medicine physician?

Emotional and physical health are not separate. Long-standing stress, emotional distress and unresolved trauma, including adverse experiences in childhood, can show up in the body as pain, fatigue, poor sleep, digestive problems, hormonal disruption and chronic illness. A lifestyle medicine physician looks at your symptoms with this in mind. When we see a physical condition that may be rooted in emotional experience, we explore it with you carefully and shape your plan around it, with support through health coaching and counselling-informed care. When you need specialist psychological or psychiatric care, we refer you to the right professional, and we continue to support your overall health alongside them.
